Article from the Swedish newspaper Expressen in march 2007:
Health profile and lifestyle coach Zarah Öberg lives her life at top speed, swallowed up by one single goal:
- I love children, all children. I’m not giving up until EVERY child in Sweden is spirited and healthy. After that I’m going to Africa to build orphanages.
Zarah Öberg goes through life like a tornado. Seems to have a hard time sitting still, talks constantly and spreads positive energy much like a water cannon gone amok.
– Ha ha, yes but I’m really passionate about this, and to be honest, I could work like this the rest of my life. I swear, says Zarah Öberg, and you don’t distrust her for one second.
Zarah Öberg has a mission in life, and that is to work as a health inspirer for children above all. To make kids feel better and live healthier.
“A rough childhood” – I had a rough childhood, was sick al lot and suffered two cerebral hemorrhages. I only got well three years ago, but I still suffer from the chronic intestinal Chrohns disease. I know what it's like to be sick as a child, and I’ve devoted my life to making as many kids as possible feel as good as possible. Zarah doesn’t have any children of her own, and no plans on getting any at this moment.
– No, I don’t feel the need to raise a child, to be tied to one. When you work as much as me there’s no time to take care of a child. I’d rather help 20 000 kids in one year than devote myself to one. There are so many kids out there who are feeling bad.
The goal is clear! Zarah has a goal, and it’s not a small goal. – I’m going to make sure that all the children in Sweden are well and after that I give myself to the world. I’m going to start a popular movement for kids, like Friskis & Svettis, and I’m not quitting until I’ve done it. When I’m done I’m going to Africa as a volunteer to build orphanages!
