The foundation for mental training is relaxation and a state of mind where you can listen to your inner goals. A big part of mental training is to visualize a vision of the future about how you might feel, like and think about one or several goals.
The visualization works like this: Make sure you’re in an environment that gives you positive energy, serenity and safety. Imagine yourself in different situations where you are the main character. You can do this by associating it with writing, music, scents, sound etc. When visualizing, both your body and mind is getting ready to fulfill what you have imagined.
The exercise is based on the fact that your nervous system has trouble distinguishing a real situation from a situation you have imagined during the visualization.
